On May 10, 2025, Saint Christopher and Good Shepherd parish held its First Communion and Confirmation event. Sister Helena of Mary and Sister Bernadine Anna attended representing the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. The event was held in the school auditorium which was now transformed into a place of worship and attended by an overflowing number of parents, children, parishioners and guests. His Excellency, the Most Reverend Gerard Colacicco, D.D, Episcopal Vicar of the Upper Counties, was the Celebrant. Rev. Jeffrey Maurer, Pastor, was the Master of Ceremonies with Deacons Raymond Ricci, Anthony Silvestro and Keith White also present at the altar. Rev. Maurer thanked God for the many blessings God has bestowed on the parish as the number of new church members received during this Eastertime has increased and for the many stories of conversion. At the end of Mass, the Sisters met with families and Bishop Colacicco. There were tables and tents set up for those who stayed for the meal. We are thanking God for this opportunity to be present to this local church event and to be visible witnesses to religious life as we celebrate the vigil of Good Shepherd Sunday and World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
