On August 16, 2025, Sister Michelle Elizabeth Marie, O.Carm. renews her religious vows for one year before Sister Jacqueline Joseph, O,Carm., local Prioress and delegate of the  Prioress General, Mother Mary Rose, O. Carm. The ceremony was held at Saint Teresa's Chapel in Germantown, New York and was attended by the Avila Community. Reverend Jim Hess, O. Carm. was the celebrant. Sister Michelle Elizabeth Marie entered the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm in 2019 and professed First Vows in August 2022. She has served in facilities operated by the Sisters in Columbus, OH and Davenport, IA. She is currently at Saint Teresa's Motherhouse in Germantown, NY and serves in the Vocation Office as Vocation Assistant. You can read Sister Michelle Elizabeth's vocation story HERE.
