On June 6, 2026, the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm honored their Sisters who celebrated their 80th, 75th, 70th, 60th, 50th and 25th religious jubilees. The celebration was held at Saint Teresa's Motherhouse in Germantown, New York with a festive gathering of families, friends and fellow Sisters for the Eucharistic liturgy and lunch reception. We were honored to welcome Very Reverend Carl Markelz, O.Carm., Prior Provincial of the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, as the Principal Celebrant and Homilist. Also present at the altar were Very Reverend Mario Esposito, O.Carm. as the Master of Ceremonies. Con-celebrating at the altar were Reverend James Hess, O.Carm. and Reverend Reynaldo Taylor. Sister Mark Louis Anne Randall, O.Carm. led the Carmelite Sisters' Community Choir as the organist. We thank the Carmelite pre-novices of the Saint Elias Province for providing liturgical assistance.
We congratulate our Jubilarians of 2026 and thank God for the many years of dedicated and loving service to the Lord and His elderly in the many Homes our Sisters operate along with the dedicated and hard working staff members. The joyous occasion was a testament to a life well lived in the service of the Lord and His Church.
