R.I.P Sister Regina Monique, O.Carm.
Sister M. Regina Monique O.Carm. passed away on the afternoon of December 2, 2023. She was in the 58th year of her religious life.
Regina Michele Molner and her twin sister, Virginia, were born on September 29, 1935, in Ewing Township, a suburb of Trenton, NJ, to Walter and Margaret (nee Feery) Molner. Her father was originally from Baltimore, MD and her mother was from Trenton, NJ. Sr. Regina was the youngest of her siblings and was preceded in death by her older twin, Virginia Atwood. She is survived by her sisters, Eileen Kendall and Margaret Foerster, and several nieces and nephews.
Having entered the Congregation on September 8, 1965, Sr. Regina professed first vows on April 15, 1968, and final vows on July 22, 1974. Trained as an LPN, she had served at Sacred Heart Manor, Mount Carmel (NH), St. Raphael’s Home, St. Patrick’s Home, Ferncliff Residence, Villa Teresa, Carmel Richmond, St. Teresa’s Motherhouse, and Little Flower Manor. Her final Obedience was to Ozanam Hall where she has been since January 24, 2009. Over the years she held positions in nursing, pastoral care, adult day care, and more recently in the area of medication reconciliation. Sr. Regina also had excellent sewing skills which she especially used while stationed at St. Teresa’s Motherhouse.
Sr. Regina was conscientious in her duties, kind to the residents, and always willing to help where she could. She had an interest in and a love of plants and flowers and also enjoyed traveling. Now that she has accomplished the purpose for which she was born, and reached the goal for which we all strive, may Sr. M. Regina Monique experience unending peace and joy, a much-deserved reward for her 58 years as a Carmelite Sister.
