Our Lady of La Vang Vietnamese Day 2025

Back to Events

On July 19, 2025, a group of Carmelite Sisters participated in celebrating Our Lady of La Vang and the Vietnamese culture at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middletown, NY. We had our display table to place our vocation materials, literature and membership brochures to The Mother Angeline Society. There were invited priests to con-celebrate Mass and invited artists for the entertainment part of the weekend long event. We chose to participate only on that Saturday the 19th. It was great meeting people as they came to our table. The food booths were available for religious and the public with tents set up for picnicking. The weather was perfect for the occasion. There were opportunities for Confessions, attending conferences (in Vietnamese, of course), Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. There was a procession of Our Lady of La Vang and Saint Andrew Dung Lac, martyr-saint of Vietnam, culminating on the shrine of Our Lady of La Vang on the grounds of the shrine. The afternoon ended with the Solemn Mass outdoors.
