The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm joyfully celebrated the Feast of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face with a Eucharistic Liturgy celebrated by Rev. Jim Hess, O.Carm., and Very Rev. Mario Esposito, O.Carm. It was a beautiful celebration commemorating the life and message of the “Little Flower.” The festivities concluded with the traditional distribution of roses to those present. At 4:00 p.m., the celebration continued as three young women were received into the Postulancy Program. The newly received Postulants were invested in the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel by Rev. Jim Hess, O.Carm. By being clothed in the scapular, they publicly expressed their consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen and Beauty of Carmel, and their desire to live a life in allegiance to Jesus Christ.
We offer our heartfelt congratulations and prayers to Sister Rebekah Butler, Sister Madeline Butta, and Sister Maria Mondello as they begin their journey in the Land of Carmel. May God bless them abundantly and guide them throughout their vocation.
