At Lourdes Noreen McKeen, all were both honored and thrilled when Bishop Manuel de Jesus Rodriguez offered Mass on May 27, 2026 at our Skaff Family Chapel. Upon arrival, Bishop Rodriguez immediately shook hands and conversed with residents who were excited to meet their new Diocesan Bishop, who was installed February 2026. During his homily, he stood close to those in attendance and walked the center aisle for an intimate discussion from a Shepherd to his flock as he reminded the residents that their roles in the body of Christ are not over. He spoke with compassion and humor while explaining that they still have much to contribute including prayers for the future of vocation, for the Sisters and Priests, and prayers for Peace through the Holy Spirit. Sister Kevin Patricia Lynch welcomed and introduced the Bishop, offering information about his background including the fact that he is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and French. After the Mass, Bishop Rodriguez shook hands and Blessed residents as they exited the chapel. A small group joined Bishop Rodriguez and Reverend Brian King for a lovely lunch prepared by Chef Enrique Altuve.
