On June 21, 2025, the Filipino-American Catholic Community of the Hudson Valley hosted a visit of the Statue of Our Lady of Antipolo. The event was held at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and its grounds. The invited Eucharistic Celebrant and Homilist was Most Reverend Ruperto Santos, D.D., Bishop of Antipolo, who traveled all the way from the Philippines to be present at this celebration. The event offered opportunities for the recitation of the Scriptural Rosary, Confessions, procession of the Statue, enrollment in the Brown Scapular and potluck luncheon. The Mayor of Middletown, New York was also present and gave a welcome address. The event was not only spiritual but a celebration of the Philippine's cultural heritage with the Holy Mass done in the vernacular Filipino language of "Tagalog." The bishop gave his homily in English. The abundance of Filipino food, with the extra surprise of two roasted pigs, song and dance, truly made the day Filipino! The Filipino and United States national anthems were sung. There were the presence of the Parish Visitors Sisters from Monroe, NY, Carmelite Friars of the Saint Elias Province, other invited members of the Filipino clergy and the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm- Sister Jeanne Francis, Sister Theresa Marie, Sister Helena of Mary and Sister Michelle Elizabeth.
