I grew up in Middletown, New York and am blessed to have two wonderful parents and the best little brother a person can ask for. My parents are devout Catholics and made it a priority that my brother and I be raised with the Catholic Faith.It was further ensured by having an uncle who is a priest and a cousin who is a Dominican Sister.I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Saint Thomas Aquinas College and an Associate's in Applied Science (Nursing) from Orange County Community College. I became a Registered Nurse earlier this year.I grew up less than a mile from the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and my parish is served by the Carmelite Friars of the Province of St. Elias.I often joke that I spent the better part of my childhood trespassing on their property! I have always been surrounded by Carmelite Spirituality so Carmel holds a special place in my heart.A Carmelite Father suggested I visit this community. I have been dreaming of religious life and searching for five years. Once I came here, I knew I was home.
