Sr. Mary Anne Dennehy and Sr. Lois Ann Wetzel attended the World Congress of Catholic Nurses held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pa. Aug. 2-4, 2022. This gathering of Catholic Nurses from around the world was a wonderful opportunity for Catholic nurses to share, network and support each other in our common mission of providing the best care for our patients and promote Catholic values in health care. The Congress days were busy. We attended Mass, Rosary and said the Divine Mercy Chaplet each day. There were many presentations on issues in health care around the world and how Catholic nurses can respond by integrating their faith with their professional practice. There was an exhibition hall with vendor tables as well as a room dedicated to presentations of Eucharistic miracles throughout the world. The Congress hosted members from multiple countries in North America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. We were blessed to have many Priests from various countries as well. Cardinal Peter Turkson from Ghana gave the keynote address on Tuesday Aug. 2.
