Homegrown Story: Foundation Day at Carmel Richmond

Carmel Richmond celebrated Foundation Day on Thursday Sept 1st. The Sisters made scones for the Staff. Sr. Dolores Carmel was the “Master Baker” with Sr. Sharon and Sr. Patricia assisting. The scones we’re beautifully packaged with tags and a quote from Mother Angeline - “I entreat you to be kind, be gentle, begin with yourself”. The scones were served by all the Sisters to the staff on each shift with a cup of Irish Tea. On September 3rd we began the day with a special hymns sung at Mass with the residents. The day ended with the Sisters hosting a cook out with our Sisters from Mary Manning Walsh Home and Sr. Patrick’s Home. It was a grand way to celebrate our 93 years of service.
