Sister M. Francis Clare of All Saints, O.Carm. passed away peacefully at Saint Patrick's Manor on the morning of October 2, 2019 in the 55th year of her religious life.
Rosalina Magano was born in Fall River, MA on September 7, 1940, the younger of two children born to Manual and Mary (nee Sousa Rapoza) Magano of Fall
River. We join her older sister, Sr. Mary Ellen Bernadette, in mourning and extend to her our heartfelt condolences.
Sr. Francis Clare entered the Community on September 12, 1964, professed first vows on April 5, 1967 and made her final profession on December 8, 1972.
She had brief assignments at St. Joseph’s Manor, Madonna Residence, Garvey Manor, Catholic Memorial Home, Our Lady’s Haven, St. Teresa’s Manor, St.
Ann Home, and St. Rita’s Home. Her lengthier missions were at Marian Manor (2005 - 2012) and St. Patrick’s Manor (2012 - 2019). A gifted musician,
Sr. Francis Clare shared her gift for music both in ministry and in community. She was an active member of the Community Choir for many years,
and beautifully played the violin for many a liturgical celebration. Her ministry to the residents was mainly in the area of Activities, including
music therapy and planning music and Mass booklets for liturgies. Sr. Francis also visited the residents to pray with them and for them.
Having courageously carried the cross of illness for many years, Sr. M. Francis Clare of All Saints now and forever experiences the peace she so longed
for. And somewhere beyond this world, she giftedly moves a bow across a violin pressed against her shoulder, in perfect harmony with all the
angels and saints, as her beautiful music resounds in joyful praise before the Lord!
