Monthly Days of Recollection

These are times set apart to step away from the busy schedule of the day and focus more deeply on Christ's presence in one's life. "Come and rest a while," Jesus invites his followers. The schedule of the day varies somewhat but always includes the Liturgy of the Hours, Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Conferences, and an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Sisters may also spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration and a silence of consideration is observed.   An individual Sister, depending on her obligations, is responsible for managing her work time to allow for the spirit of the day but at the same time, to not neglect her duties.

Annual Retreat

As part of our way of life, every Sister is obliged to make an annual week of Retreat at the Motherhouse. Retreats are usually either Directed or Preached. It is a time to be away from the demands of ministry and to spend quality time with the Lord in silence and prayer.
