Sister M. Jude Regina, O.Carm. passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Manor on September 8, 2018 in the 64 th year of her religious life.Although her health had been fluctuating for some time, there was nothing other than her age to indicate her time on earth was nearing its end.

Ann Bridget Morrison was born in County Mayo, Ireland, to Austin and Bridget (nee Gibbons) Morrison on October 16, 1925.  She immigrated to the U.S.A. where she settled in Boston, MA., and in 1952 become a naturalized American Citizen.  She entered the Congregation on September 8, 1954, professed first vows on March 17, 1956, and made Final Profession on December 9, 1961.

After serving in Philadelphia, Massachusetts and New York, Sr. Jude returned to Ireland as Superior of Our Lady’s Manor, Dublin (1969-1979).  Upon coming back to the United States she served at Teresian House, Madonna Residence, Marian Manor and St. Joseph’s Manor, and was then appointed the Superior/Administrator of St. Margaret Hall (1985-1991) and the Superior/ Administrator of St. Rita’s Home (1991-1994). Then Sacred Heart Manor (1994-2000), Carmel Richmond (2000-2006) and St. Patrick’s Manor, where she was eventually admitted as a resident, followed.

Sr. Jude Regina lived a long life of 93 years, 64 of which were spent journeying along the spiritual path of Carmel.  It is fitting that the Lord called her home on the Birthday of Our Blessed Mother – exactly 64 years from the day long ago when she set out on that journey, not knowing where it would lead. We give praise and thanks to God that Sr. M. Jude Regina journeyed with us.
