About the Book
For years many had asked why the story of Mother M. Angeline Teresa, O.Carm., had not been written. Mother, though a person of great courage, was also a person of profound humility. She not only did not desire but discouraged any personal recognition for her deeds and philosophy of care.
About the Author
Mother M. Bernadette de Lourdes, O.Carm. entered the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm in 1932. She served as Mother M. Angeline Teresa's Vicar General for 26 years. Because of this close association with Mother Angeline Teresa, Mother Bernadette was able to draw upon her own personal knowledge of Mother Angeline Teresa and tap into a large collection of documents, diaries, letters, writings by Mother, chronicles, addresses given on special occasions, press releases and newspaper articles that contained reports on significant events in the Congregation in writing this book.
